Comabtive Grappling/Ground Defensive Tactics / Avoidance

Combative Grappling / Ground Defensive Tactics;  It is armed / unarmed grappling.
Here we are referring to engaging in the extremely close quarter combative circumstance, again armed
or unarmed, standing up or on the ground, the intent is to subdue the suspect as quickly as
possible by applying force to .
As is the rule in weapons combat “Military, L.E.O/Security and P.P.O”., in Combative Grappling we train
to stay on our feet. We do not want to give up mobility and visibility on the ground and we don’t want to
get into a wrestling match with the suspect. That being said we must train on the ground but
we want to shatter him as quickly as possible and be able to move on. We want very little body-to-body
contact if at all possible. The more body-to-body contact there is, the more contact points the enemy /
opponent has to wrestle against. The fewer contact points applied against the enemy / opponent, not
only is he less able to engage in counter-movements, but the more force you are able to apply to into
areas that will mostly effectively leverage to shatter the enemy / opponent. This is vital for all “Military,
L.E.O/Security and P.P.O” as well as civilians specially in today’s NASTY world, where your life isn’t
worth much and people rather than help pull out their cell phone and video tape your demise.

Ground Defensive Tactics / Avoidance discipline is designed to train officers how to avoid being taken to the ground and how to effectively escape if they do find themselves there.  It covers the most common ground positions and escapes, refines the officer’s physical technique, and presents instructional methods for teaching survival skills.

Judgment Pistol Shooting

One of the greatest trusts placed upon a Security &  law enforcement officer is the responsibility of balancing the constitutional interest of an individual against the interest of a society that believes the use of force against an individual is constitutionally permissible, when reasonable and necessary requirements, under the law, have been met. This balance of responsibility holds Security &  law enforcement officers strictly accountable for the discriminate use of force based on the lawfulness of the officer’s decision. Security & Law enforcement officers must be ready to justify their use of force, within the constitutional and judicial standard of reasonableness, at the instant the force was used.

Designed by Paul Castle. The most notable feature of the CAR system is its unique firing stance. There are four positions that are taught, each of which is used based on how far the target is from the shooter, as well as various tactical considerations for the situation. All firing positions are based on a "bladed" stance, which means the shooter stands sideways relative to their target, with their non-dominant arm's shoulder facing the target. In addition, all four positions involving keeping the firearm very close to the torso compared to other shooting stances, and in all but one, the weapon is held tilted slightly to one side, rather than vertically. The four individual positions are described as follows:
High, Combat High, Extended, Apogee.
